About Lindsey
Supervisor Lindsey Horvath is a proven local leader who delivers real results for the people of Los Angeles County.

Since being elected as Third District Supervisor in 2022, Lindsey has brought urgency, accountability, and compassion to County government — leading historic reforms to fix broken systems, ensuring County government works for the people who rely on it most. She’s running for re-election because with Los Angeles County’s overlapping crises, Lindsey is providing the experienced leadership and urgency needed to get things done.
As County Supervisor, Lindsey has taken on some of the region's toughest challenges.
She declared homelessness a local emergency and led major reforms, including moving funding away from the failed Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority and into a new department to deliver real accountability and results. Following the 2025 wildfires, she championed the fastest cleanup in U.S. history, and ensured more than $55 million in relief reached residents, small businesses, and workers. With constant attacks from the federal government, she stood up for Angelenos, creating ICE-free zones and a $30 million rent relief program. To bring the County into the 21st century, she led once-in-a-generation governance and ethics reforms to ensure the government is truly accountable to taxpayers.
Lindsey’s commitment to public service is deeply personal.
Inspired by her church and mentors, Lindsey felt called to serve communities that have been overlooked and pushed to the margins. That calling guides everything she does as Supervisor — meeting people where they are, treating everyone with dignity, and delivering solutions grounded in care and community.
Lindsey’s leadership stands out because she knows how to bring people together to make meaningful change.
From her early days as the founding president of the Hollywood National Organization for Women (NOW), to her role on the board of the National League of Cities, Lindsey has been building strong coalitions as County Supervisor that have driven major progress for the Third District and across Los Angeles County.

Before being elected to the LA County Board of Supervisors, Lindsey served the City of West Hollywood for nearly 15 years. In addition to her service as a Commissioner and Councilmember, she served two terms as Mayor, including an extended term during the COVID pandemic. Her experience prepared her to lead the County during concurrent emergencies – applying crisis-tested leadership to complex systems that affect millions of residents.
Lindsey understands that leadership means responding in the moment while staying focused on the long-term reforms that can’t wait.

Like many residents of the Third District, Lindsey is a renter. You can often find her with her dog, Winston, out in the community supporting local businesses and enjoying the natural beauty that makes Los Angeles County such a special place to call home.
